Savory salmon that hits the spot! If you are a salmon lover, these flavors are full and delicious! A freshly baked salmon fillet seasoned with garlic, lemon, paprika, parsley, salt, and pepper.
Jump to RecipeGrilling or pan-searing the salmon would also be an excellent option! I love grilled salmon, but it was a cold and very rainy day today here, so in the oven was my favorite choice to cook this. I love how fish, in general, cooks so quickly. This was a very quick recipe. I cooked the green beans with sliced almonds, garlic salt, and olive oil on a sheet pan and it cooked on 400 degrees, as well. Both the fish and green beans were in the oven at the same time while the potatoes were boiling in the pan above on the stove. It was quick to mix milk and butter in the mashed potatoes with a hand mixer and we had a delicious, healthy, but comforting meal on our very rainy cold day in May.
Garlic Lemon Baked Salmon
Ingredients
- 3 TBSP olive oil ( you could also use cooking spray)
- 2-3 lbs. salmon Atlantic or sock-eye
- 2 TBSP paprika
- 1 TBSP garlic salt (or 1 TBSP garlic and 1 tsp salt)
- 1 TBSP black pepper
- 1 TBSP parsley fresh or dried (I used dried)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil (optional).
- Place salmon on the cookie sheet and rub or brush the top and bottom of the salmon with olive oil.
- Cut one lemon in half and squeeze the juice of the whole lemon over the top of the salmon. Then sprinkle the paprika, garlic salt, black pepper and dried parsley over the top of the salmon.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes. The meat of the salmon should be a lighter pink than when it was raw, and should easily flake apart. Cut and serve immediately along with my Green Beans and Sliced Almond and my Easy Homemade Mashed Potatoes. Enjoy!
