Easy Homemade Mashed Potatoes
Creamy, delicious mashed potatoes!
Ingredients
- 4-5 Russet potatoes
- ½ cup (or 1 stick) butter ( I used salted)
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tsp salt
- 2¾ cups whole milk
Instructions
- Thoroughly wash potatoes, and skin if desired, ( I left the skin on).
- Chop potatoes into cubes and throw them into a pot. Cover the potatoes with cold water. Place the pot on the stove, set to high, and add a tablespoon of the salt. Bring to a boil for 15-20 minutes.
- Once potatoes can easily be pierced with a fork, turn heat off and drain the potatoes.
- While the potatoes are still hot, add the butter, garlic, remaining salt, and milk and mix with a hand mixer until smooth. Add ingredients to taste, and more milk to desired texture. Serve hot!
