Ingredients

  • 4-5 Russet potatoes
  • ½ cup (or 1 stick) butter ( I used salted)
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tsp salt
  • cups whole milk

Instructions

  • Thoroughly wash potatoes, and skin if desired, ( I left the skin on).
  • Chop potatoes into cubes and throw them into a pot. Cover the potatoes with cold water. Place the pot on the stove, set to high, and add a tablespoon of the salt. Bring to a boil for 15-20 minutes.
  • Once potatoes can easily be pierced with a fork, turn heat off and drain the potatoes.
  • While the potatoes are still hot, add the butter, garlic, remaining salt, and milk and mix with a hand mixer until smooth. Add ingredients to taste, and more milk to desired texture. Serve hot!
